I’ve posted on Avaaz site a petition Request to stop distribute Hamas propaganda, but instead of address it, they just blocked it without any notification to me.
Request to Avaaz to stop distribute Hamas propaganda.
To: Avaaz management, Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States (FBI)
Recently, after 7 October Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, there were a few petitions/campaigns distributed by Avaaz via email which include Hamas propaganda lies, that Israel is responsible in tragedy happening in Israel and Gaza.
Hamas is a terrorist organization, and Hamas support is illegal. As Avaaz is a U.S.-based organization, it should obey U.S. laws.
Avaaz should block the following campaigns immediately:
1.“Israel/Palestine: From Horror to Hope” petition https://deal.town/avaaz/israelpalestine-from-horror-to-hope-F33VXZDY4
The petition describes “ Both the Israeli government’s brutal apartheid policies and Hamas’s inhumane attack are responsible for this round of carnage. ” It is a lie. Hamas is a terrorist organization; it made unprovoked attack and took hostages. It is responsible for this round of carnage. Israel tries to defend their citizen from terrorist attacks.
2.” Israel / Palestine — Stop Child Bloodshed Now” https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/israel_palestine_save_the_kids_loc/
It’s suggesting “ a deal where Hamas releases the children and families it’s holding hostage, in parallel with Israel freeing the Palestinian children it’s imprisoned ” The suggestion is a part of Hamas plan: take hostages and exchange them for prisoned criminals. Hostages of Hamas terrorists should be freed unconditionally, criminal prisoners should be treated according to the decision of the court.
3. “Gaza: emergency appeal for humanitarian catastrophe” https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/gaza_emergency_23/ suggests “ starting with freeing the children held hostage by Israel ” . Only terrorist Hamas hold the hostages. They are also using Palestinian children as a human shield.There are multiple versions of the campaign e.g., https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/gaza_emergency_32/) All of them contains similar narrative of Hamas propaganda.
Please block the campaigns that contain Hamas propaganda.
Alternative option would be to remove the statements from the campaigns/petitions that is a lie and send notifications to all subscribers with the apology of the lie.
For those, who really wants to stop Palestinian crisis there are two possible kind of petitions that make sense to write to reduce number of innocent victims and help everyone, Israelis and Palestinians.
1.To Palestine citizens: to save your live and lives of your children, overturn Hamas leaders and bring them to international or Israel justice.
2.To governments of world countries: help Israel to destroy Hamas terrorist organization with minimal casualties of civilians.
